A living project for people, place and practice
Nestled in Scotland’s ancient temperate rainforest overlooking Loch Lomond, Re-Inversnaid is a hosted home and living project where woodsmoke, wet boots and wild landscapes meet comfort, conversation and change.
A place to stay awhile, gather with others and experience a remarkable landscape - with time to explore, learn, create, contribute or simply do very little at all.
The landscape is part of the project. Through rewilding, conservation, workshops and practical learning, we explore new ways for people to connect with place, with each other and with the natural world.
Remote enough to feel genuinely away, yet surprisingly accessible from Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Re-Inversnaid offers a comfortable home, a living landscape and space to create your own experience.

Comfort, conversation and change.
What's On Offer
There are different ways to experience Re-Inversnaid.
Come and stay with friends, family or colleagues. Join a workshop, retreat or hosted experience. Get involved in restoration and rewilding. Learn through practical work, explore your creativity, or simply spend time in the landscape.
Some experiences are structured. Others leave plenty of room to find your own way. What connects them is the place itself: the landscape, the people, the work we’re doing here and the opportunity to experience something a little different.
Reset. Reimagine. Recreate.

Our Ethos
Re-Inversnaid is a living project rooted in people, place and practice.
We believe travel is more meaningful when you have time to get to know a place. Staying a little longer, understanding something of its landscape, people and stories can create a richer experience and have a more positive impact on the landscape itself. Re-Inversnaid offers small, intentional stays and experiences that invite people to do just that.
You might come to rest, walk the West Highland Way, join a workshop, learn something new, get involved in restoration, or simply spend time in the landscape. The landscape is part of the project. We’re restoring and rewilding parts of the land, learning from what happens and adapting our approach as we go. Alongside that, we’re creating experiences that help people connect with the place, with each other and with different ways of seeing and doing things.
We believe everyone has something to bring to the project. Come and share your ideas, knowledge and perspectives, learn from others and contribute to the story of Re-Inversnaid.
Come for the landscape. Stay a little longer. Get to know the place.

Our Testimonials

I really appreciated becoming part of Jill's impressive project to revive parts of Scotland's rainforest. I was involved in different tasks, mainly preparing the landscape for tree planting and actual tree planting. I really hope to come back some day to see how the place and nature transformed over time.

The place itself is breathtaking, and Jill takes great joy in sharing it with others. Jill was a generous host, very welcoming but happy to let you do your own thing. We ate well every day, and the accommodation was comfortable and private
